Our chapter was privileged to honor a retired major general who has had an illustrious military career, with DAR's most prestigious award, the Medal of Honor.

Cahuilla Chapter has 29 members who have served as Daughters for over 25 years. One member joined in 1942 and is therefore a member for over 70 years. The next in longevity is a member who served as a page at Continental Congress and has now belonged to DAR for 64 years. Six members have belonged for 50 years. Included in the picture is the charter. The chapter was organized in 1948.

At a November meeting, with Thanksgiving soon coming, we had a popular program with "Apron Strings." In addition, members brought their favorite apron and shared a story or a memory about it.
